PEACE OF MIND WHEN YOU BROWSE

Vueling's cookie policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are installed on your computer, mobile device or any other type of terminal and that enable you to store and retrieve certain information generated by your activity online through the particular terminal. They enhance and personalise your experience on the website and with the services offered. Technologies that are similar to cookies can also be used, which enable us to store or recover certain information on your system in a similar way.

2. Which cookies do we use?

When you access and browse our website or use our mobile app, Vueling stores and records your IP address, user preferences and the type of device used, mainly (i) to prepare statistics on the number of visits or traffic on the website; (ii) to offer a more personalised browsing experience; (iii) to remember login details, even on different devices; (iv) to display ads, on this site or other sites, based on browsing habits on our website; and (v) to help us personalise commercial communications we might send you by email, app push messages, Whatsapp messages, SMS/Text and similar platforms, to make them more relevant to you.

According to the purposes of the cookies, this website and the Vueling mobile app may use the following cookies, whether its own or from authorised third parties:

  • Technical cookies: These cookies enable you to browse on a website, platform or app, and use the options or services there (for example, the session, access restricted areas, make a purchase, manage a payment, etc.), including those that enable us to control fraud linked to the security of the service. These cookies are necessary in order to use the website, as they allow the operation and provision of the services offered and, consequently, do not require user consent (they are installed or activated by default). This is why these cookies are always marked as consented.
  • Preference cookies: These cookies enable us to remember certain information so that you can access the service with certain features that may make your experience different to that of other users; for example, the language, the number of results to be displayed when you perform a search, what the service looks like or what it contains according to the type of browser you use or the region from which you access the service, etc.
  • Analytics cookies: They collect information on how you use websites, including the quantification of advertising impact. The information collected by these cookies is used to measure activity on websites, apps or platforms in order to make improvements according to the analysis of the information on how you use the service.
  • Advertising cookies: These cookies improve the personalisation of the ads that you find on our website or other sites, by aligning them with their preferences. This personalisation is based on factors such as your destination searches or browsing habits. Additionally, advertising cookies make it easy to attribute website visits to specific advertisements. By helping us understand your interests, these cookies enable us to create a profile that is tailored to your preferences. This, in turn, enables us to offer you more relevant marketing communications via email, push messages from the app, WhatsApp messages, SMS/text or other similar platforms.

If you want to know more about the cookies used on this website, please check the full list of cookies used by Vueling. Bear in mind that some of these are not Vueling's own cookies, but third-party cookies, and this may involve transferring information to third parties. On this list you can check the entities whose cookies we have authorised.
