At Vueling we are fully aware of the importance of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and we continue to work in a comprehensive way in order to manage, measure and report on initiatives in these areas.
As part of IAG, Vueling has pledged to reach net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050
Airlines are facing a great challenge because they depend on fossil fuels, and low-carbon options are a much more complex solution for this industry. However, for more than a decade, IAG has been at the forefront of the aviation sector's climate change response, and we are certain that it is possible to reach net-zero emissions.

As part of the IAG group, we have got in 2023 for the fourth year in a row a leadership score in the corporate climate action ranking: Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) A- rating.
This nonprofit organisation works with investors, companies, cities, states, and regions using a worldwide database with information on how they manage their environmental impact.
Sustainability certificates
Environmental certificate - IEnvA Stage 2
To help us achieve our sustainability goals, we have a environmental management system with IATA IEnvA certification and also aligned with the ISO 14001 environmental management system. This certificate endorses our commitment to sustainability and represents a new step forward on the path begun in 2020 when we became the world's first low-cost airline to achieve IEnvA Stage 1.
